UConn Rowing – Giving Tuesday Race to 2,000 Meters
This Giving Tuesday, UConn Rowing is taking on a 2,000-meter challenge—and you power every stroke. As gifts come in, special videos and milestone unlocks will move us through the race from the starting line to the final sprint.

Start Line – Kickoff Video
We’ll launch Giving Tuesday with a short video introducing our 2,000-meter race challenge.

500 Meters – $5,000 Raised
UConn President Dr. Radenka Maric will “start the race”. When donations reach the 500-meter mark with $5,000 in donations, she will graciously donate another $5,000 to match your efforts. Once unlocked, Radenka’s gift propels us to $10,000—the halfway point.

1,000 Meters – Halfway Point
Another surprise video message from some alumni of our program will kick off the “third 500.”

1,500 Meters – $15,000 Raised
Another special guest video will help push us into the final stretch—just 500 meters to go.

2,000 Meters – $20,000 Goal
A final thank-you video from Coach will celebrate reaching the finish line together.

Donor Incentives
125 Donor Challenge – Coaches’ 2K Erg Race
If we reach 125 donors, our coaching staff will take on an age-handicapped 2K erg test during the team’s first 2K test of 2026—with the team watching.
Details will be shared in a follow-up video if the challenge is unlocked.

Alumni Oar Giveaway – For Gifts of $100+
Rowing Alumni who donate $100 or more can claim an authentic oar from the boathouse.
