UConn Tap Team

The UConn Tap Team is a dedicated group of students united by their love for dance. Founded in 2003, the team officially became a club sport at the University of Connecticut in January 2004. We practice weekly to refine our skills, learn new techniques, and deepen our understanding of this dynamic art form. Our goal is not only to enhance our own abilities but also to connect with others, both within the tap community and beyond.

Each spring semester, we proudly present a showcase that highlights our growth and creativity. Throughout the season, we participate in multiple competitions, showcasing our talent and representing UConn with pride. One of our favorite team traditions is traveling to New York City to take a tap class with a professional dancer, where we also get the opportunity to explore the city and create lasting memories together.

Over the years, we have become more than just teammates—we are a close-knit family formed through shared experiences and a mutual passion for tap dancing. The bonds we have created are irreplaceable and make our team truly special.
