Woodsmen

Thank you for supporting UConn Woodsmen!

We are a college-level Timbersports team that competes in traditional lumberjack events across the Northeast. This fall, our team will be traveling to several competitions, continuing the momentum from a successful past year. Over the past season, we’ve earned multiple top finishes, including first and third overall at SUNY Cobleskill, first place at SUNY ESF, second at Paul Smith’s College, and third overall at the University of New Hampshire Spring Meet. Our women’s team also took first place overall at both the University of Maine and the University of New Hampshire, with our men’s team placing second at UMaine.

Your support through our Ignite campaign is crucial to the success of our team. In the past, donations have helped us cover essential costs such as travel expenses, Tuatahi racing axes, bow saws, chainsaw maintenance, safety equipment, and even the purchase of a sawmill!

We rely on Ignite donations to maintain, repair, and replace our aging equipment, ensuring that our athletes can continue to excel in competitions. This year, we aim to purchase a new crosscut saw and bowsaw blades, along with other essential gear.

The team thoroughly appreciates your support, and we look forward to seeing you at our competitions!
