The UConn Undergraduate Science Journal (USJ) is an online, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that promotes and publishes undergraduate STEM research performed by UConn students. Every submission undergoes a peer review process by the USJ Student Editorial Committee and is scored on scientific value, methodology, writing, and results. The top papers are reviewed by the Faculty Review Committee, consisting of appointed faculty members from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Computer Science and Engineering, and Cognitive Science and are scored on a similar rubric. USJ's aims to promote undergraduate STEM research and encourage literacy in research conducted on campus among UConn undergraduates.
Your support helps us fund the publication of our annual journal issue. Since USJ is entirely student-run, donations allow us to purchase software that expedites and enhances our publication process, thus improving the visual quality of our annual journal. We also hope to accumulate enough funding to release printed journals, available to UConn students at no cost. Any additional funds will be used to support the general activities of the group.
We hope you will consider supporting us in promoting undergraduate STEM research!
