UConn Underwater Robotics is a student-run organization dedicated to hands-on engineering education. We design and build underwater robots from scratch, giving students real-world experience in CAD, programming, electronics, and mechanical design. We focus on applying engineering principles to practical projects. Underwater technology is a rapidly growing field with applications across multiple industries making it a great area to get into. Last year, we built a robot for the MATE ROV competition. This year we are running back MATE ROV in Canada with the only goal being to win the competition. We are also creating an internal competition with challenges like obstacle navigation, object retrieval, and 3D modeling from remote imaging. In the future we are looking to create a robot to help natural resources organizations around campus. With a long list of engineering talents and skills needed we are working tirelessly and need your help. Your support helps us win MATE and bring 12 people in our team to Canada!
