UConn Law’s Black Law Students Association (BLSA) is a local chapter of the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), which was founded in 1968. We share NBLSA’s commitment to helping Black law students excel academically, succeed professionally, and make a positive impact in their communities.
At UConn Law, BLSA creates opportunities for students to learn, build professional connections, and support one another throughout law school. We also make space for conversations about race and the law and encourage our members to use their legal education to serve others.
Donations to our Ignite campaign will help members attend regional and national BLSA conventions, where they can meet practicing attorneys and fellow law students, participate in workshops, and take part in advocacy competitions. Your support will also help us host programs that bring our chapter together and celebrate our graduating members.
Every gift helps us strengthen the community our members have built and create opportunities for those who come next.
Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of UConn student-led organizations.
