The Women Law Students' Association strives to uplift women in the field of law and build community amongst all law students.
Each year, WLSA coordinates its 1L Mentorship Program, which pairs incoming law students with an upperclass mentor. Over the years, the program has proven to be extremely successful in helping new students with their transition into law school, and has resulted in countless friendships.
WLSA also often hosts panels and luncheons with the dual aims of connecting students to practitioners and raising awareness on important issues, with commonly reoccurring events including the Domestic Violence Awareness Panel, the Diversity Panel, and our annual community service initiatives. In addition, WLSA puts on events aimed at academic success and student wellbeing, such as with this year's planned Study & Outline with WLSA event and Mentor Mentee mixer.
WLSA's Ignite fund majorly sustains the organization's buying power for food and materials used at events. Donations allow us to accommodate a larger amount of attendees and to construct more creative and meaningful events. This spring, we are especially focused on planning an impactful community service event to provide students with an opportunity to give back to the local community.
Any and all donation amounts are helpful and appreciated. Thank you!
*Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of UConn student-led organizations.*
