Who We Are
The UConn Black Pre-Law Association (BPLA) is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting UConn students interested in pursuing careers in law. We provide a community where students can explore the legal profession, prepare for law school, develop professionally, and build meaningful relationships with attorneys, law students, alumni, and peers.
What We Do
BPLA brings the legal profession closer to UConn students through LSAT preparation, law school and admissions programming, attorney and alumni panels, professional-development workshops, networking opportunities, and conversations about careers across the legal field. Through connections with legal organizations, law schools, professional associations, and the National Black Pre-Law Students Association (NBLSA), we also help students gain experiences and relationships that extend beyond campus.
Our $1,000 Ignite Goal
This year, BPLA is raising $1,000 to expand the opportunities we provide to our members. Ignite support will help strengthen our professional-development and educational programming, connect students with legal professionals and law schools, support participation in conferences and professional opportunities, and enhance LSAT and law-school preparation initiatives.
Why Your Support Matters
A conversation with an attorney, an LSAT resource, a law-school visit, a professional conference, or a new connection can make a meaningful difference in a student's path toward law school and the legal profession. Your support helps BPLA make these experiences more accessible to UConn students.
Whether you give $10, $25, $50, or $100, every contribution brings us closer to our goal and helps create opportunities for students to learn, connect, and lead.
Looking Ahead
BPLA is committed to building an even stronger connection between UConn students and the legal profession. With your support, we can continue expanding our programming, strengthening relationships with legal professionals and law schools, and creating opportunities for students to explore and pursue their futures in law.
Help us reach our $1,000 goal and invest in the next generation of legal leaders.
Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of UConn student-led organizations.
