Long River Review is the University of Connecticut's undergraduate-run literary and arts magazine. In the spring, we work with UConn's Design Center to publish outstanding creative work in a physical issue. We curate the magazine from thousands of submissions we receive in fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, artwork, and other creative mediums from people around the world.
Our staff is made up of undergraduate students who read through literary submissions, choose what gets published, and copyedit the final selections. Our team gains hands-on experience in publishing practices and supports the journal through social media content, website development, writing blogs, podcast creation, and more.
Long River Review amplifies voices from the mouth of the river and beyond. Since 1997, our staff of undergraduate editors has traced the ever-changing flow of literature, art, and their effect on the creative landscape.
Your donation helps us alleviate the printing costs for publishing our 30th issue and will support our staff members attending the 2027 Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) Conference and Bookfair in Chicago. Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of UConn student-led organizations.
