Men's Ski Team

The UConn Ski Team is a competitive alpine ski racing club that represents the University of Connecticut in the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA). Our mission is to foster athletic excellence, teamwork, leadership, and personal growth through competitive ski racing. Team members train together throughout the year, compete across the Northeast during the winter season, and build lasting friendships through a shared passion for skiing. The UConn Ski Team competes in the McConnell Division of the USCSA Eastern Conference against universities across New England and the Northeast. Throughout the season, athletes participate in regular training sessions, divisional races, Eastern Regional Championships, and, for qualifying athletes, the USCSA National Championships.

This year, the UConn Ski Team is fundraising to help offset the significant costs associated with training and competition. Donations will support travel expenses, lodging, race entry fees, lift tickets, training opportunities, equipment needs, and participation in postseason championships. As a Registered Student Organization (RSO), many expenses are paid directly by student-athletes, making financial support essential to ensuring all team members have the opportunity to compete regardless of financial circumstances. Contributions through Ignite will help us continue providing a high-quality collegiate racing experience while expanding opportunities for current and future Huskies.

The UConn Ski Team has established itself as one of the top collegiate ski racing programs in the USCSA Eastern Conference. In 2026, THE WOMEN'S TEAM WON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and PLACED SECOND OVERALL AT THE USCSA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS! The men's team has also earned TOP finishes at Eastern Regionals and qualified multiple athletes for Nationals. These accomplishments reflect the dedication, talent, and hard work of our student-athletes, coaches, and alumni network.

Donor support has a direct and meaningful impact on every member of the UConn Ski Team. Contributions help reduce out-of-pocket expenses for athletes, making participation more accessible and allowing team members to focus on training, competition, and academic success. Support also enables the team to invest in better training opportunities, travel to major competitions, and continue representing UConn at the highest levels of collegiate ski racing. Gifts of any size help strengthen the program and ensure future student-athletes have access to the same opportunities that have shaped generations of UConn skiers. Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of UConn student-led organizations.

The UConn Ski Team is committed to building on its recent success and continuing to compete among the top collegiate ski racing programs in the country. Looking ahead, we aim to increase access to training opportunities, qualify more athletes for postseason competition, strengthen our recruiting efforts, and continue developing student leaders both on and off the slopes. With the support of alumni, families, friends, and donors, we can continue growing the program, creating memorable experiences for our athletes, and proudly representing the University of Connecticut for years to come.
