About

The University of Connecticut Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is committed to increasing the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities.

At UConn, our chapter creates a supportive community where Black engineering students can grow academically, professionally, and personally. We provide members with opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills, connect with industry professionals, participate in mentorship and networking, explore STEM careers, and engage in programs that prepare them for success beyond the classroom.

A major part of our work is connecting our members with opportunities beyond UConn. Through this campaign, we are raising funds to help students attend national conferences, career fairs, professional development programs, competitions, and other STEM opportunities. These experiences allow our members to network with engineers and employers, learn from industry leaders, pursue internships and research opportunities, and build connections that can support their future careers.

Our members represent the future of engineering, innovation, and STEM leadership. Your support helps make professional and educational opportunities more accessible to UConn’s Black engineering students while strengthening our chapter and expanding the impact we can have on the UConn community and beyond.

Every contribution, regardless of size, helps provide our members with experiences, connections, and opportunities that can shape their academic and professional futures. By supporting UConn NSBE, you are investing in the next generation of Black engineers and the communities they will go on to serve.

Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of UConn student-led organizations.
