The Pakistani Community at the University of Connecticut (PCUC) is a student group open to all students (undergraduate and graduate alike), faculty, and staff. We seek to celebrate and share our interest in cultural, political, and social fabric of Pakistan and its Central and South Asian neighbors. Students of Pakistani heritage have been an active part of the University of Connecticut community for decades, and it is the goal of the PCUC to continue their strive to establish a clear portrayal of Pakistan and its culture, and to promote understanding in the multi-ethnic landscape of the Connecticut area.
It is through understanding, that celebration can truly be had. PCUC needs your support to continue providing opportunities for students to engage and learn about Pakistani culture at the University of Connecticut. Through educational and social events, PCUC seeks to create a welcoming environment where students can celebrate their heritage, develop meaningful connections, and find a safe space within the University community. Your support through Ignite will allow PCUC to continue providing the resources necessary to sustain a community centered around cultural understanding, connection, and belonging. Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of UConn student-led organizations.
