The UConn Creative Writing Club strives to help every member find their own inner author; no matter the major or skill level, we believe anyone can write! Our club does a variety of workshops made to help every member improve their writing, start their novels, and gain feedback from their peers. This Semester every member of the club will have the opportunity to contribute to a group anthology - a collection of short stories - following a topic of the club's choice.
Our end goal is to earn enough to publish and produce physical copies for every supporting member, with the potential of having extras!
Any additional funds will be used for the general activities of the group such as:
- Unique prizes for the winners of our club's Monthly Writing Contests, including tools and accessories fit for only the finest of Authors (and college students!)
- Tools for Interactive Writing Workshops, as we will be expanding our workshops by providing even more hands-on action; whether it be through map making, calligraphy writing, book binding, and more!
- Notebooks! An Authors best friend, and a tool our club would love to provide our upcoming bestselling authors.

Ignite 2025 is already halfway through!
Collectively the groups have raised nearly $40,000 from over 1,100 donors!
On February 18, many of the groups met on campus to table and spread the word about their campaign to UConn students. Over 100 students came by to show their support to their friends and team members.
With just under 2 weeks left to go many of the groups are close to meeting their goal. Can they count on you to get them to 100%?
