During the summer of 2024, UConn Men's Crew took a transformative step by hiring a full-time Head Coach, Logan McClennen, to propel the team to new heights. Building on the strong foundation laid by our legendary former coach, Marysa Semprebon, Coach McClennen has already made a significant impact by elevating the team’s competitiveness, intensifying training, and delivering impressive results on the water. The UCMC Alumni community has played a pivotal role in this evolution, stepping up to generate donations that fund the new Head Coach position. While our Alumni continue to explore sustainable ways to support the team year-round, UCMC is utilizing funds from Ignite to cover Coach McClennen’s salary, with any additional contributions directed toward enhancing team operations and acquiring advanced equipment like dynamic ergometers and Concept 2 BikeErgs. These resources are essential for elevating our training, improving performance, and inspiring our athletes to achieve their full potential. Your contribution directly invests in the tools and leadership that drive excellence, benefiting both the team and the broader UConn community.
