Gifts to Labor and Employment Law Society Fundraiser contribute to...
Please donate to help the Labor and Employment Law Society (LELS) connect UConn Law students with practicitioners and opportunities in labor and employment law!
LELS is a brand-new organization at UConn Law formed in response to the growing interest in unionization and in labor and employment law. We focus on educating students about current issues in labor and employment law, facilitating networking between students and current practitioners, and connecting students to resources for pursuing a career in labor and employment law.
There are a number of classic films touching on unions and labor issues that we would love to screen for students to teach them about the labor movement and how it connects to the law, working together with UConn's labor law professor. However, acquiring the rights to show these films can be very expensive. (And that's before you add on the cost of popcorn, candy, and soda for a proper movie night!) Your donation will help us make these labor movie nights happen. Any additional funding will be used for the general activities of LELS.
If you would like to learn more about LELS or get further involved, you can contact our President, Amanda Hoey, at amanda.hoey@uconn.edu.
Thank you for your donation and your help in LELS' efforts to get UConn Law students involved in labor and employment law.
