Howie Lam - 2026 TCS NYC Marathon

Hello! I'm Howie, a sophomore undergraduate studying exercise science at the University of Connecticut. This November, I am training for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon to support the Korey Stringer Institute (KSI)!

As a lifelong runner, I've seen many of my teammates both in high school and in college sidelined due to serious injuries and in rare cases, sudden emergencies. The Korey Stringer Institute is an organization that provides the gold-standard research for heat safety as well as injury prevention that keeps athletes and laborers safe and healthy. Having completed research with the organization last spring, I have seen their passion in optimizing emergency preparedness, advocating for stricter safety protocols, and advancing life-saving research.

I firmly believe that every athlete deserves to be protected with the best science available. Every dollar raised will support the Korey Stringer Institute's research and advocacy needed to help keep our communities performing at their best.
