In UConn’s Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, students apply economics to real challenges in sustainability, business, food systems, and public policy. Learning is hands-on through coursework and professional development opportunities. Students may develop marketing strategies for local businesses, analyze current policy debates, collaborate on faculty research, and compete in national and international competitions where their ideas directly influence real companies.
These experiences help students build professional portfolios, strengthen their resume, and graduate with the skills needed for successful careers.
During UConn Gives, your support helps make these opportunities possible by funding scholarships and enabling students to attend conferences and competitions where they can apply critical thinking and showcase their knowledge.
