Dominique (Soucy) Matteson ’03 (CLAS) lived with intention, generosity, and joy, building immediate and lasting connections wherever she went. As a first-generation UConn alumna, she was a Husky through and through and a proud advocate for UConn and its students in her role at the UConn Foundation. Dom’s light shone brightly in all she did, and her dedication to the success of UConn was no exception.
In September 2025, Dom passed away after a brief and unexpected illness. While her loss is profound, so too is the impact she had and will continue to have on the university.
Dom’s spirit lives on through the Dominique S. Matteson '03 Endowment Fund for Students First, which offers emergency support to students during times of unexpected loss or hardship, helping cover essential needs and reminding them they belong.
