Our Husky Pride runs strong. Every day, we witness the admirable achievements of our student athletes, and here at UConn they are more than what you see on game day. They are leaders in the classroom, advocates in their communities, teammates, mentors, and individuals navigating the same challenges and opportunities as any college student, often at an even greater intensity. Supporting them means investing in every dimension of their lives: mental health, personal development, academic success, and athletic excellence.
This year, your support will directly impact several key Husky Pride Funds that bring this vision, as athletes such as Sarah Trainor, Women's Track and Field (videoed above) explained, to life:
Student-Athlete Mental Health Fund: Expanding access to critical mental health resources, counseling, and wellness programming so our athletes can perform and live at their best.
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC): Empowering our top student-athlete leaders through SAAC by enhancing their leadership development, career readiness, and participation in community engagement opportunities.
Student-Athlete Success Program: Supporting the development and future impact of the Nayden Center for Academic Excellence in the Bailey Student-Athlete Success Center. Working towards funding for a transformative program dedicated to academic support, personal growth, career preparation, and life skills for our Huskies.
Women’s Athletics Fund: Elevating and directly supporting our 12 women’s programs to ensure equity, opportunity, and continued excellence.
Fight On Fund: Providing flexible, immediate support for the evolving needs of UConn Athletics and its student-athletes.
