Individualized Major Program

Students have been creating their own majors at UConn for fifty years! In 1976, eight students graduated with individualized majors, and more than 2500 have graduated since then. Our students are self-starters who take charge of their learning, finding innovative ways to combine coursework from multiple disciplines.

Please donate to support individualized majors in their pursuit of experiential learning opportunities. These can include study abroad programs, summer internships for credit, and other experiences outside the classroom that can incur extra costs. We place a high value on experiential learning, and we want to make it accessible to as many individualized majors as possible.
