The Puerto Rican & Latin American Cultural Center’s (PRLACC) entire history revolves around students. In particular students who would not be denied. Now as we embark on our 55-year anniversary, it is more important than ever to adhere to that resilient spirit our Puerto Rican students displayed in 1971. This UConn Gives Campaign’s intention is to boost our scholarship offerings to students who are involved in some way with our center. We currently offer two scholarships every spring, but the needs are much higher than what we give and the students are much brighter. Therefore, we are calling on the biggest reason UConn, and our center exists to this day … YOU! You can make a difference in a student’s life by contributing to our scholarship fund, as education is the gift that keeps on giving. Many students can often use some assistance financially as they navigate their respective educational journeys. We have an opportunity to ensure that help doesn’t always come from any type of loan, but instead … Because of You!
