Celebrate 13 Years of Collegiate Recovery at UConn!
To celebrate 13 years of Collegiate Recovery at UConn, a generous donor has committed up to $1,513 in challenge funding based on the number of donors who support the UConn Recovery Community during the 2026 UConn Gives campaign.
As more donors give, additional challenge dollars are unlocked in recognition of this milestone year.
Challenge Milestones
- 39 donors (matching the total number of donors in 2025) unlock $513
- 52 donors unlock $1,013
- 65 donors unlock $1,313
- 78 donors unlock the full $1,513
Every gift helps move us closer to the next milestone and increases the total impact for students in recovery.
Student Testimonial
“This is the only place on campus where I can truly be myself.” — URC Alum, Class of 2025
Our Mission
The UConn Recovery Community’s mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment that supports the educational needs of students recovering from addictive behaviors, as well as those exploring the possibility of recovery.
To this end, we believe: you’re in recovery when you say you’re in recovery, as you define it.
Our Ask: Off‑Campus, Substance‑Free Activities
Nothing brings on the fun and builds community like the thrill of a go‑kart race, getting strike after strike at the bowling alley, or stretching your artistic skills throwing clay for the first time.
These activities not only bring fun into recovery, they also provide an alternative to the many weekend activities where alcohol, cannabis, drugs, and other substances are likely to be present. Many URC student members cannot, and choose not to, be around substances.
Your gift allows the UConn Recovery Community to continue offering off‑campus, substance‑free activities at no cost to our student members, helping build connection, community, and support in recovery.
The UConn Foundation (EIN 06-6070722) is an independent, not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that exists to support the educational, scientific, cultural, research, and recreational objectives of the University of Connecticut.
