Student Organizations

Student organizations are a vital part of the UConn experience. They create spaces for leadership development, cultural connection, creativity, service, and belonging outside the classroom.

This past fall, Ignite, UConn’s student-run crowdfunding competition, showed just how strong that support can be. During Ignite 2025, more than 3,200 donors supported student organizations raising over $200,000 for student-led groups across campus. Those gifts helped fund travel, events, equipment, programming, and opportunities that directly shape student experiences.

UConn Gives builds on that momentum, offering another chance to keep this support going.

While Ignite provides a focused fundraising period for student groups each fall, their needs extend throughout the academic year. Many groups rely on continued philanthropy to sustain their work, expand access, and serve current and future students.
