UConn First-Gen Week

First-Gen Week is a crowdfunding initiative that raises money for UConn’s first-generation students. The University currently has 8,600 Huskies who are the first in their families to attend a four-year college. Your support helps our first-gen students thrive both in and outside the classroom — and advances a critical mission of our largest Campaign in history, Because of UConn.

Gifts to one of our first-gen funds help ensure these students have access to the essential resources they need so they can reach their fullest potential:

• Scholarships fund life-changing education, reduce debt, and allow students to focus on academics, research, internships, and other opportunities
• Comprehensive Wellness ensures the whole student is cared for, addressing diverse academic, social, emotional, and financial needs.
