Who We Are
Within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences there are two mentorship programs, the Women’s Leadership Collective and the First Generation Mentorship Program, dedicated to creating pathways for students to grow and transform professionally as well as personally.
The Women’s Leadership Collective brings together undergraduate CLAS students who are passionate about developing their leadership skills, amplifying women’s voices, and building supportive networks that extend beyond campus. This unique learning experience, coupled with group mentorship from UConn alumnae, helps participants develop career-building skills while making connections with mentors in their field of interest.
The First Generation Mentorship Program supports CLAS undergraduate students who are the first in their families to attend college. It connects them with an alumni mentor who was also first generation, in order to help them navigate life experiences with confidence.
Together, these programs foster growth, resilience, and leadership, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed and lead.
