Club Sports

Club sports are an important part of the UConn experience, offering students the opportunity to compete, lead, and build community beyond varsity athletics. With more than 30 teams, club sports provide meaningful athletic opportunities that complement the University’s broader commitment to student success and wellness.

Last fall, Ignite highlighted the enthusiasm and pride surrounding many of these teams, with more than 1,200 donors supporting participating club sports. More than $86,000 was raised to enhance team experiences through travel opportunities, equipment upgrades, and competition support. That generosity helped teams make the most of their seasons and represent UConn across the region and beyond.

UConn Gives continues that spirit of support.

While Ignite Club Sports offers a focused fundraising opportunity in the fall for participating teams, UConn Gives brings all club sports together, creating a single moment to celebrate and support the full range of student-led athletic programs on campus.
