We are so excited that we've reached out initial goal of $10,000 for LCs! Thank you for all the support so far. Can you help us reach our next goal of $12,000?
Living and Learning Communities (LCs) bring students together to explore their interests, build community, and thrive through shared courses, mentorship, and co-curricular experiences. LCs help students grow into engaged, confident, and responsible citizens within a culture of curiosity and belonging.
Your support makes unique and transformational experiences possible. Make your impact by giving to one of our Learning Community funds. During this year's UConn Gives campaign, we are raising funds for:
- The Arts House expands students’ creative horizons through engagement with artists, theaters, museums, and performances, enriching their understanding and participation in the arts.
- BSOUL House supports the scholastic efforts of African American/Black women-identifying students through academic, social/emotional, research, and professional development opportunities.
- EcoHouse immerses students in sustainability through service‑learning, academic discourse, and shared experiences like the opening‑year camping trip.
- Global House explores international relations by bringing domestic and international students together for cultural immersion and peer‑led learning to deepen global awareness and perspectives.
- Humanities House transforms students into socially responsible citizens by fostering imagination, creativity, and holistic thinking, strengthening skills across diverse career paths.
- Human Rights & Action House is an active, caring community guided by the principles of human rights where students take their academic knowledge and apply it to the world around them.
- Innovation House enables students to explore creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship by connecting them with resources, mentors, and local leaders to develop skills necessary for success.
- La Comunidad Intelectual recognizes and examines Caribbean and Latin American cultures, customs, and traditions, nurturing intellectual diversity, inclusivity, and social activism.
- Public Health House expands students’ understanding of public health, community service, education, and advocacy through active, informed, problem‑based learning.
- ScHOLA2RS House supports the scholastic efforts of African American/Black male students through academic and social/emotional support, research opportunities, and professional development.
- WiMSE House provides women in STEM with academic support, research opportunities, faculty interaction, and a close‑knit community, all of which contribute to their persistence in STEM fields.
